We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Full Time Temporary Drivers License Examiner. As a Full Time Temporary Drivers License Examiner, you will be responsible for determining applicant identity, eligibility, and legal status, as well as reviewing medical information to determine license restrictions. You will issue licenses, identification cards, and permits, and collect appropriate license fees. Additionally, you will conduct noncommercial driver testing in passenger vehicles, administer ten separate types of knowledge examinations, and conduct vehicle inspections in accordance with state law and safety requirements. Minimum Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a passion for customer service who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to fill our position as a Drivers License Examiner.We are looking for someone with a high school diploma or GED. You will need a valid Class D operator's license, and a satisfactory driving record for the last five years. Applicants with an alcohol related or reckless driving offenses will not be considered. The North Dakota Public Service Commission is seeking to hire a temporary Construction Inspector to work in its Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Division. The mission of the AML Division is to eliminate the hazards associated with abandoned coal mines in the state to improve the safety and environment for the citizens of North Dakota. The position involves working at abandoned surface or underground coal mines. Work is generally in rugged and uneven terrain and working and driving near drilling, pumping and heavy equipment is required. The position involves working in all types of weather and walking on a variety of uneven or slippery surfaces. Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and some manual labor (i.e. digging with a shovel, pounding in stakes and fence posts) may be necessary.Start and end dates are flexible, but work is expected to begin mid-May and continue through September. Workdays and hours may be irregular depending on weather conditions and the contractor's schedule. Applicant must be able to work at the project sites throughout the project. The agency will pay for overnight lodging near work sites during the work week as necessary. A State vehicle will be available for work-related travel. All applicants must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Minimum Qualifications

Background in natural or earth sciences, construction management, agriculture, or engineering.Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Detail oriented with good observation and note-taking skills.College students who meet the minimum qualifications listed above are encouraged to apply. If the successful applicant is a college student that intends to work as a scientist, engineer, or technician in the field of mine land reclamation, the student is eligible to apply for a $2,500.00 scholarship from the National Association of Abandoned Mine Lands Program.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supervising contractors. Experience in reviewing project plans, specifications, maps, and drawings. Knowledge and use of technology devices such as tablet PCs, iPads, and survey equipment. Experience recording project data, taking notes, and writing reports, including any work with databases and data entry.

Essential FunctionsPrimarily Reports to: Migratory Bird Management SupervisorSecondarily provides support to: Migratory Bird BiologistGeneral Job Duties:Assist with, and coordinate migratory game bird capture, handling, and banding of migratory game birds, including operational Canada goose, dove, and duck banding. Coordinate Special Canada Goose Permit program; processing applications; issuing permits and correspondence, compiling report data and producing reports. Assist in collecting and compiling migratory game bird population and harvest survey data, data entry, preparing data tables and figures. Assist in proofing data, drafting and proofreading P-R project annual reports, and other population and harvest survey reports, documents, and presentations. Prepare, organize and file data, literature, paper and GIS-based maps, reports, and other records.Assist with production of mass mailings to state and federal field personnel and the public regarding surveys, projects, questionnaires, etc. Maintain vehicles, prepare, repair, purchase, load, haul, unload, clean and store equipment.Handle phone calls, visitors, messages, and public information requests.Disease work including: disease monitoring and collection and shipment of specimens to appropriate diagnostic facilities, CWD deer head collections, and processing of specimens. Maintain computer files and records. Assist with computer projects such as: data entry, data management, archiving, etc. Other duties as assigned: at various times, the Waterfowl Management Technician assists with a variety of other tasks within the Department.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife biology or management or closely related natural resource science degree. Must have or be able to obtain a Class D North Dakota drivers license. Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds and be willing to travel occasionally throughout the year. Applicant must be capable of working long and/or irregular hours outdoors under varying weather conditions. Applicants must be able to swim.

: Conduct voluntary boater surveys and watercraft inspections. Openings available at Bismarck, Valley City, Riverdale, Jamestown, and select locations around Lake Sakakawea. Ideal applicants will live locally and be assigned to cover a specific ramp(s) during the boating season. A fisheries seasonal aide position is open in Williston and Riverdale. These positions will split time preforming creel duties and assist fisheries biologists with netting surveys.
