Burgum: North Dakota will participate in Lost Wages Assistance program created by President Trump

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum today announced that North Dakota has applied to participate in the Lost Wages Assistance program created by President Donald Trump to ease the economic burden for those who have lost their employment because of the coronavirus pandemic.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Job Service North Dakota reported that labor statistics released today show North Dakota’s April not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 9.2 percent. The unemployment rate increased 6.5 percent between March and April. April 2019’s rate was 6.7 percent lower than the current rate.
