Text Message Scam Alert

Job Service has been made aware of a scam to gather personal information from individuals or infect the recipient’s device with malicious software.  The scammers are sending text messages with a message saying “An error in your unemployment claim has occurred, click <a URL is included that is not associated with Job Service> to review your claim, North Dakota Department of Labor.”

Individuals receiving this message should not click on or navigate to the URL or provide any information.

Job Service North Dakota will be conducting maintenance which will affect the employer internet website (UI EASY), the secure file transfer portal (Secure FTP), the claimant internet website (UI ICE) and the claims center interactive voice response phone systems (701-328-4995) beginning Tuesday, June 1st at 10:00 PM and ending no later than Wednesday, June 2nd at 4 AM CDT.  

All systems will be unavailable. Claimants will be unable to file an unemployment insurance claim, certify eligibility or complete required UI activities while maintenance is performed. Please make plans to complete these activities prior to the downtime or once the system returns to normal operation.


System maintenance scheduled for Friday, May 14 will affect job postings/searches

Job Service North Dakota will be conducting maintenance which will affect the employer internet website (job postings) and the job seekers website beginning Friday, May 14th at 5:00 PM and ending no later than Monday, May 17th, at 8 AM CT.  Employers will be unable to upload job openings and job seekers will be unable to look for job openings. while maintenance is performed. Please make plans to complete these activities prior to the downtime or once the system returns to normal operation.

Unemployment Insurance services will not be impacted by this maintenance.


North Dakota to restore pre-pandemic unemployment programs to address statewide workforce shortage

BISMARCK, N.D. (MAY 10, 2021) North Dakota will terminate its participation in the federal government’s pandemic-related unemployment assistance programs, effective June 19, to help address the ongoing workforce shortage across the state, Gov. Doug Burgum announced today.
