UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE FRAUD ALERT
Job Service North Dakota has received reports of a fraud scheme where individuals claiming to be unemployment specialists are contacting individuals, telling them they have unclaimed UI benefits and offering large benefit payments. These individuals are attempting to gather personal information to steal identities and commit fraud.
If you receive a phone call asking for your Social Security Number or other personal identifying information, do not provide the information and disconnect the call. We ask that you call Job Service at 701-328-1680 to verify whether the call is legitimate or to report a fraud attempt.
If you receive an email or text message asking you to call a phone number or click on a link in the message, this is NOT from Job Service North Dakota. Emails or text messages from Job Service North Dakota will ask you to log in to your UIICE account for instructions or action. A link is never provided in email or text messages.
