UIPL 18-20 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020 – The Federal Government has provided Emergency Unemployment Relief for State and Local Governmental Entities, Certain Nonprofit Organizations, and Federally-Recognized Indian Tribes.

The Act instructs states to reduce the amounts required to be paid by 50%.  The applicable period covered by UIPL 18-20 includes weeks of unemployment beginning after March 12, 2020, and ending on or before December 31, 2020.

On September 24, 2020 refund checks were issued to reimbursable employers who paid their 2020 1st and 2nd quarter benefit charges in full.  For those employers who did not pay or made a partial payment, a 50% credit has been applied to those benefit charges and will be seen on the October 2020 Notice of Reimbursement Due billing.

Moving forward, the 2020-3 and 2020-4 benefit charges will be billed at 50%.
