Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) is now accepting certifications from qualified applicants.

Letters were sent on Thursday, May 14, 2020 to applicants who have submitted claims for PEUC aid since April 4. The letter can also be found by logging into  UI ICE and checking the "Correspondence" tab after 6 p.m. Thursday, May 14.

Applicants who qualify for PEUC aid will receive the same weekly benefit amount as their regular UI claims plus the $600 FPUC benefit each week. Please note that the FPUC additional payment is currently available through the week ending 7/25/2020.

The system will allow claimants to certify all past weeks for which they are eligible under program rules.

IMPORTANT: No PEUC payments can be made until the claimant has certified their eligibility.

How to certify

Using UI ICE

Log in to your UI ICE account and check your "To Do List." You may need to flip the calendar back previous months to find your effective date. You will also be required to enter your 4-digit PIN.

Using IVR

Call 701-328-4995 and select your language. Then choose option 1. Be ready to enter your social security number. Then say "complete my weekly certification" when the system asks what you want to do. Once you begin to complete the weekly certification it will ask for your 4-digit pin number.

Can I still apply for PEUC if I haven't already?

Yes, but do not apply until the week your regular UI benefits are exhausted or your application will be invalid.
