The Federal Bonding Program (PDF: 2 pages/220 KB)![]()
An employer may receive a bond when hiring a job applicant who is an ex-offender or has some other type of "risk" factor in his/her personal background. A bond (usually issued for $5,000) is free of charge to the employer and serves as a business insurance policy that protects the employer from theft. Job applicants can inform employers about bonding in their job search interviews. For a bond to be issued, the applicant must receive a job offer and the employer must schedule a date to start work. Call (701)328-2997 to learn about bond availability (the number available has increased) and to request a bond. Download the brochure to learn more about the program.
Bridging the gap between students and employers
This website is a clearinghouse where students interested in an internship can post their resume and employers can list job openings that are suitable for an intern.
